Regents, St. James and Hyde Park offer beautiful trails and gardens as well as outdoor activities and if you love animals then you'll want to stop at the Regent zoo. You don't want to miss the Japanese gardens at Holland Park and of course, you'll want to check out Kensington Gardens on your visit to Kensington Palace.
Covent Garden is another great place to visit London although it's not actually a garden at all. This famous London travel stop houses a wide array of shops, and theaters along with interesting street performers, restaurants and bars. Here is where you find the Royal Opera House along with many places to shop and dine.
Of course, London's outdoor markets go back centuries and include famous places to shop such as Portobello Road where the antique hunting is second to none. You might stop in and Borough market which has the atmosphere of a Moroccan bazaar and has been a thriving marketplace for over a thousand years.
Of course, no one would travel to London without visiting some of the pubs and the West End offers a large variety of establishments in a range of prices as well as cuisine. After eating, you might take in one of the many shows here which you will find rival any Broadway show and in fact many of them start here and later play in New York.
If museums are your thing then your London vacation will surely be satisfying because there is plenty of them here. You can visit natural history and science museums, the Victoria and Albert Museum and of course the world-famous British Museum. In addition, there are museums in Kensington Palace and the Tower of London.
While historical attractions in London are certainly worth while, some of the newer venues might be interesting to see as well. The London Eye boasts the world's largest Ferris wheel as well as a half hour glass gondola boat ride where you can see Big Ben. At the Tate modern, you can get your fill of famous 20th-century art including works by Matisse and Picasso.
